BOC Life Participates in the “SMS Sender Registration Scheme”
To help customers identify the identities of SMS senders, BOC Group Life Assurance Company Limited ("BOC Life") has participated in the "SMS Sender Registration Scheme" (the "Scheme") since 23 March 2025.
BOC Life will use the following "Registered SMS Sender IDs": #BOCLife or #BOCLife_LY to send SMS messages to customers’ registered mobile phone numbers.
Please note that the Scheme does not apply to:
(i) Overseas mobile numbers;
(ii) SMS messages where recipients are expected to reply directly to the sender via phone number; or
(iii) Local subscribers using Single-Card-Multiple-Numbers/One-Card-Two-Numbers mobile services provided by non-Hong Kong operators.
BOC Life would like to remind customers to stay highly vigilant when receiving SMS messages from unknown senders. Under no circumstances should customers disclose personal information, policy/bank account/credit card numbers or details, transfer money or access any hyperlinks, QR codes, or attachments embedded in such messages to avoid potential losses.
